After researching, we were unable to locate the building code adoption ordinance. Craig County, VA falls under the jurisdiction of the state of Virginia.

Effective 09/04/2018, the state of Virginia adopted the 2015 Virginia Residential Code.

Existing Buildings

Existing buildings, meaning buildings that were built in accordance to code at the time of construction, typically merit extra consideration in a current updated code.
